Helped organize AXOMO’s attendance at HR Technology Expo 2019 in Las Vegas. I was tasked with making the booth more engaging and informative than previous booths in the past, which just included banner backdrops and basic swag giveaways. We included three trash cans for attendees to discard their unwanted swag – highlighting AXOMO’s “power of choice” for employee gifting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing booth space and coordinating supplies with trade show reps (power supply, internet, carpeting, attendee scanner for lead gen, booth space location, etc.)
- Graphic design for booth backdrop, table cover, handouts (included a webcam cover attachment and QR code for store credit), event advertisements, etc.
- Created a demo reel video that we could loop in the background to showcase the platform
- Paid Twitter (now “X”) campaign utilizing the event hashtag and promoting our booth location
- Spoke with attendees at the event about AXOMO / sales positioning
- Email marketing to attendees before and after the event for lead generation
- Setup and takedown of booth materials
Feedback and Takeaways:
- Attendees were more engaged than ever – loved the “swag trash can” idea (trade shows give away too much swag that most people will never use, left a lasting message)
- Had a higher rate of meetings booked than previous trade show events
- Generated the first subscription signed from an event in AXOMO’s history
- Senior leadership loved the creativity of the booth space and complimented the elevated presence and overall results achieved with a limited budget
